WE CROSSED THE BRIDGE ON THE DRY PATH — or — SORORITY INC. — DID YOU KNOW? PRIVATE EQUITY IS ACQUIRING ALL OF OUR SUPERNATURAL SERIAL KILLING BOOGIE MEN — LIKE FREDDY, JASON AND CHENEY?

ALL RESPECT TO JENNIE — BUT THIS IS WHY WE ARE GATE(less) — WE ARE MORE THAN A PRODUCT

SEE? THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE POETRY — ISN’T IT? AND — yet — the shadow of Capital — most cruelest — most tedious — GOD Eva! — casts his shadow — LOOK GOAT EARS — ISAAC! — even here

early, late, never on time

When we talk about time
there is nothing to 
                          hold on 
nothing, no one, without
a past, a future, 
                      even dead
the living cast nets, pull
out wriggling emptiness
name it, try to capture a
still frame stop
                     the motion, 
HERE/THERE, unpinned,

timeless, 
                easier to say:

we traveled;
                    we had tea;
the great bird there! 
a nest;
bald eagle chicks
                     sound like 
                          inconsolable
gulls, rather than admit
we don’t know how clocks
work, if our heart will beat
our breath will take, again

and after, when they stop
pulled us into history
by our exit record

will it be like before? or new
without incongruity, without
subtle hooks and illusionary
nets, wasted judgements
like           
               are we              
                          early or late?

Why me?

It has been said
we’all are just me, of the rarefied air
of the miraculous birth, of
the overcoming, the meritorious
birth tempered by evolution’s harsh
testing, the species
embraced,
after all, we could
have been a jelly
a lichens, a MayFly
devoid of the ability
to understand May
to understand month,
season or minute

So, why not you? 
Who lied to you? 
Said it was other-
wise, claimed

Exemption or special status
we bet it was someone
greedy, and unsure
they deserved to be
here, who like you
thought, 

Why me?

Who didn't understand
this ONE  thing, doesn't care
about why,
                 or me, only, 
as the negation, 
as in, 

Why not?

WE FEEL LIKE WE’VE GONE ON FOR TOO LONG — THE OOZE HAS FLOODED THE PERIPHERY
