Can’t help but ask — Did I bring something back?

We made ourselves extraordinarily tired — keeping those hours

The very nice airline representative unintentionally hurt my feelings — Saying — I’m going to tell your son you stole his passport!

and i speak clumsy sentences

Time passed
there was a passage of time?

That’s not right
after temporal uncertainty
there’s nothing better than a

Saturn shake
or so the astrologers tell me

After seeing you again
after this undeterminable rift
my voice often seemed too loud
replacing grammar with alternative
alliterative amplifications

These days
having become adapted
often, we say “Ummm” or

“You know the, in the, who did the?”
and the through line gets lost
more a trough

Age or isolation?
wrong food, drugs, vitamins?

Wrong

Thought?

We’re modern that way
with the cultured clumsiness
previously mentioned.

One more story, before I go, I was meeting an old friend at a record store and perused the vinyl while waiting. Mostly I felt an immediate distancing nostalgia, “I remember what this used to be like and how much I enjoyed it!” Later, I thought those words described my SF visit pretty accurately.
