Had a number of accounts of well respected — literary — substackers unsub yesterday after Orgy of Flies — due — we believe — to my lack of servile patriotism

Which we don’t mind — plenty of reasons to unsub — most — including our poor literary rigour — or our sense of humour (too British) — are noteworthy and a matter of good taste — yet — after a few years of following — veiled criticism of the bloated corporate state gets one to unsub?

Maybe posting pictures of food will win the staff the accolades they deserve — Excellent Okonomiyaki BTW — missing the tempura crumbs but genuine Kewpie mayo

If you're passing through Kingston— Ontario — Canada — and have a bougie budget — I cannot say enough good things about Chez Piggy — founded by one of the members of Loving Spoonful — we had the best meal in a decade — easily

While doing research for this postcolonial foodie deconstruction—realized the bakery—café that so impressed us this morning is also owned and run by Chez Piggy

Best to leave y’all hungry or on the verge of extinction…
