A good friend from my first ‘college years’ — was taken aback by my use of alchemist as a job descriptor — she was right — not for the reasons of the ‘science’ false dualism — rather an alchemist has laboratory precision — and does not lose his lids
He may happily blow his lids — For what modern human does not have multiple heads? A multiplicity of tops, stacks, and the preindustrial ‘minds’ to blow?
If you don’t believe me let’s ask Adam — Adam are you the same human being you were then? — Are any of you the same hairless bonobo as you were in 2017? — If you answer yes then you may have exceeded the safe number of lids blown per quinquennial
Another alchemist I know — told me how the medicine people would drive a pole into the ground and tie a toad to it — as a way of settling down — letting the toad walk the world bringing messages back from far and wide
The danger? Deep time beasts replicate ferociously — here’s one manifestation of the toad we let loose whenever we settle down — he brought back such marvelous and confounding stories

Confounding Stories

A perfect alchemical illustration —- Does the Queen of Disks start the story? End the story? Or exist in parallel to the pretty little narratives we are telling each other?
I don’t know — which is good enough for today

Much love,

You call humans "hairless bonobos." That is very insulting to bonobos.
