December 26, 2012 — “If anything, it feels like this end came already and we somehow missed it or refused to accept it” @raviddice — If you were there you felt it — I’m not sure the date is accurate — and can’t be bothered to look it up
Part of the problem of perception is we tend to look at The End — The Apocalypse — as a noun — a static object — rather than a verb — an ongoing dynamic revelation
And when it does happen — we’re certain we know where it leads
And we are certain — we have ownership of what happens afterward — forgetting we are all guests — at this house by the sea
It’s time to remember — The End is dynamic — What lies beyond it? No One knows — as Burroughs says in The Western Lands — “Knowing you might not make it... in that knowledge courage is born.”
Today — like every day — is composed of conflicting impulses — How you will resolve them — I leave — up to you — Thanks for stopping by!
What lies beyond it? No One knows — as Burroughs says in The Western Lands — “Knowing you might not make it... in that knowledge courage is born.” Thanks for this. The part of me that wants to pick up and flee needed to be reminded that sometimes taking a stand, no matter what the consequences to the self, may be the correct course of action. Of course, my stance on this has profound outcomes for those I love who would stay because of my decision. I am at that Arjuna & Krisna moment, looking across the field, and hesitating out of love for those that would be my foes.
