gate(less) is a practice, a log, an indulgence, spellwork, meditation, and an invitation to explore and experience the ecstatic adventure of every day. Join us to explore strange new worlds right outside your gate/door
I’m almost considering putting the gifs behind a paywall — not because I want to charge for them — but we’ve had several people not join or give up their membership because of photo sensitivities — the photo above is what I spent my morning making Thai Style Ramen — mostly veg — from scratch using Vite Ramen Naked Noodles
Which, led to a great deal of house cleaning and being ‘busy’ with tasks — hence the slightly later gate(less) — most of the time — when not practicing dropping thought — I considered our addiction to the cult of productivity — after all — we’ve been bred for the job
We place too much emphasis on getting things done — it drowns out the need for actively doing nothing — a habit I long enforced with alcohol and cigarettes — now that I don’t regularly use — I no longer keep track of the moon as easily
I didn’t realize the full moon was Wednesday — until, I happened to hear a friend describing a cluster of odd encounters with neurodivergent folk — it’s one of the reasons I treat astrology carefully — entrusting those with the deep talent to assay the stars — recommend @GenMystic — for depth
A couple of questions for the cohort — Gifs behind a paywall? Emphasize audio and static photos in the fore and the naseau-inducing behind?
Considering creating another Substack under the drconcrescence.com brand (HA!) — called Lab Notes — far more experiential tools and tricks and experiments for the lab we call our lives — interest?
Hey there. Could you explain why the gifs freak some of the subscribers out? I would hate to see you disappear them — I definitely check your posts amidst my productivity-enslaved life more than I would if they lacked the gifs, which I always enjoy.

I enjoy the gifs, but sometimes they are too much for me, personally. It has a lot to do with my own state of mind and my current wave of incoming demands and pulls and attractors and repulsions.. So in all honesty, as someone whose desktop email client doesn’t automatically show embedded files, there are times when I read your missive but don’t see the images…. or I just turn on images for a sec to get the gist, but then turn ‘em off again to finish the piece. But I am not a standard model reader.
