Having a good heart won’t stop —
the freezing fog
No matter how much I complain — the daily changes
will continue
The other night — I dreamed I was dying — When I woke up it was still true — and no matter how far in the future — the same illusion of me will face it

Shuffle Synchronicities

An unusual mix of music & memoir. I Shuffle 🔀 my Spotify Liked Songs playlist (55,000+) every so often, then write ✍️ how the song 🎶 seems to Synchronize ✨ with my life. And maybe yours ;)
By Dave Cowen
I was replying to Dave Cowen of Shuffle Synchronicities above — while wondering what ‘freezing fog’ represented — when the following played from my liked song Spotify list
I locked onto the ‘fog’ reference “The banks were shrouded, in the fog / From the shore, a barkin? dog” The entire song is worth visiting:
River of Time Lyrics - Jorma Kaukonen

A river of time, it marks our life
From birth to death, there is no rhyme
A chance to meet, along the way
Will we go or, will we stay?
There is no sound of, tolling bells
The task on earth is living well

I dreamt my grandma, held my hand
Felt the stranger, in this land
Her ancient voice called, out to me
And have your choices, plain to see
It?s time to move on, down the line
All you floatin? in a river of time

The banks were shrouded, in the fog
From the shore, a barkin? dog
Recalled a time, long forgot
The flowers there, Forget-Me-Nots
I saw a wave from, friends of mine
As I rowed down the river of time

It might be nice I, could have said

To speak to loved ones, long since dead
Lives still flow there, on the shore
And I shan?t see them, anymore
Not on this side, but in dreams
And dreams aren?t always what they seem

Well, y’all, he said it better than I could.

Much Love,
