In Deference to Truth, Beauty, Love Con/Jur/d, 3/6/2024 We should bend at the waist fall to our knees When it’s like this But, mostly we’ve adapted it's what we’re good at, we shouldn’t confuse this with evolution Mostly games or social media a great deal of television, we miss Watching squirrels scurry pelicans rising and plummeting first snow silence, or then When the quiet of night blooming jasmine frames a late cigarette glow distant sounds close Our hearts beat far away, slow and steady, shiver the white honeyed blossoms a soft moon above the dead porch light illuminates the wooden stairs.
Much love,
