I’ve heard we are reborn over 7’000 times a second — in October — easier to remember we die as often

I have mixed feelings about this upwelling — the dilution of the deep dark through cuteness — although — I agree with Sluggish on the benefits of horror movies:

Having been the Baron for 4 different Ghede weddings — I find the psychopomp Loa demands a good time be had — but a great deal more seriousness than our culture at this particular time is capable of delivering

Not to say it doesn’t happen — rather it happens off-screen — after a great deal of editing

Maybe it was easier when we had only one portal to launch our souls through

Now it seems every time we look down — there is another way to get lost — to slip away

Some of my favorite moments in my tween years — watching Dr. Who on the local PBS station — It usually started at 11 pm or later and my mother would insist on staying up with me — she would inevitably fall asleep waking up when it ended and insist I tell her what happened
