Yesterday morning after a long involved dream — I pulled across the alpha bridge a fraction of the total — a game Philip K Dick invented called ‘The Secret’
The placement — Behind the Counter — sold me a PKD collection mentioning the game passing on the rules — Play along won’t you?
Player 1 states something they believe — for example — “I believe I need to read the rules”
Player 2 says either “Everything you believe is bullish!t” or “ BS!” followed by a counterargument like “Where when you were born were these rules? Are not all rules arbitrary or situational? Why would you need to see them?”
God joins you in your laughter
Player 1 responds “I believe not sticking a fork into the electric outlet like I did when I was 3 is not an arbitrary rule”
“Bullsh!t!” Player 2 screams “From the point of view of the cosmos your inevitable death by stupidity isn’t rule worthy”
Back and forth — Forth and back — Ultimately the BS argument must win — If Player 2 fails to create a counterargument sustaining the belief “All is BS” — The players switch places — until exhausted both submit to the inevitability of bullish!t
The goal of the game — the big reveal — is everything we believe is BS — simple to play — hard to do — since ultimately — even the game — or Dick’s involvement in its creation is simply bullsh!t
