“Sometimes, the camera captures in better than out”
“Even quiet streets”
“Remember, the rainbow resides in us, not in the clouds”
“Integer: When we believe we find the pattern or the pattern finds us, we miss the whole. I believe, this is what Process Theology means when it says, Reality is made of events, not things”
The Presence of Absence
“other patterns are discernible, some of which I am perhaps hallucinating” -- Mathoverflow.net, Joseph O’Rourke

After, the title,
I should have
stopped.

Patterns
emerge, absence
has a presence.

Simple, complete.
Third-time written,
birds,

grasses,
orphans, organic
compounds, dismissed,

yet those lines leave,
traces, I affirm, ‘I am
hallucinating.”

Universal,
is our experience,
the unfolding of nothing,

into this something,
presence flows over
absence,

accrues this poem,
and other odd singular
maths.

Mid-week, y’all. Hope it’s treating you well. I highly recommend following the link above which leads to “Digging Deeper with Rev. Douglas.” An accessible brief talk on “What does Process Theology mean when it says, Reality is made of event, not things?”
