Outside or inside — I seem to be having an allergic reaction
I think I saw 1000 Airplanes — at UC Berkley in the 90s — I certainly remember the awe I felt — but little else stands out — It’s easy to forget how good Philip Glass is — a little like Tom Robbins whose prose style resembles my internal structure too closely — I believe — so the books dissemble as if in a dream
It’s always hard — when you’re in it — to remember the past — I’m not normally subject to allergies — although I do remember laying down with my annual poison ivy attack as a kid and feeling the itchy cloud descend across my eyes and hands
I hope you’re mending well. A big fan of Phillip Glass- used his music in a lot of theatre work I’ve done through the years. A favourite is the tinker music box tune from Candyman. Also like Tom Robbins. The prologue in the first book I read of his (either Jitterbug Perfume or the one with the girl with the huge thumb) had this bit about beets. It was the catalyst for me to start eating beets and I have loved them ever since. Look what books can do. :)
