On writing poetry after 8.5 hours sleep

I dreamed we took a train to Korea to stay for the evening at an Airbnb

We had a class in LA — but it was cheaper and more direct to go through Korea

Getting to our apartment — despite the train cutting through the planet’s core — we realize it’s silly to head back in — when we’ve just gotten out

Since returning — the photos have seemed forced — artificial

The tropics are filled with the most dramatic and interesting birds

Just like the trees of the hedge row at the Friday Night Dinner — but fancier

Insert unfinished poem around the usual themes of life/death and our relationship to the dream we call our lives
