We headed out for an adventure going from here to there — sailing inbetween — but the glassine waters warned us there was going to be little wind
Not to worry — we said — we can get back to shore and our engine is ready to pick up the slack
Our engine said — not so fast! I don’t need to leap to life when you call! And no matter what we did or where we looked the engine refused to turn over
And so after we had tried everything we could — we called for help
And we sat — and we waited — until
out of the approaching dark — came someone to help us back to where we began
The Moon didn’t seem to care which direction we were going
The Moon seemed to say — You asked for an adventure and here it is — You can’t complain that it didn’t take the form you expected
The adventure is now — regardless of the form it took
I love it. You captured our adventure so beautifully!
