ladder to nowhere, or
a pocket universe fuzzy
lint filled, like this one

Unfolded, instantaneous
purpose implied, utility
instills bad habits of
higher and lower into
our lies of inherent

progression. Although
it fails to fulfill it's
purpose as a signifier
of safety, the tiny stick
figure cartwheeling down
the rings, suspended

without reference to up
to down, surrounded by
a constellation of pain
emojis, is the most 
philosophically sound
part of our day spent

doing, maintenance
tasks, striving to keep
things exactly as
they are requires due
diligence.
