I’ve been a bit depressed since I came back — The last time this happened The Teacher said, “It’s just thoughts — drop those” — Yesterday — my brother reminded me it was my Mom’s Birthday and since her death in 1995 — we’ve always said hello on the day

My wife made me a Latvian celebration cake a few months ago — The first time I’d had Klingers in years — My brother has made it — But nothing will be as good as my Mom’s — when my young taste buds were still attuned to sugar — for my birthday or other big celebrations
