It’s the time of year for — spontaneous generation — flies appear without maggots — I’ve been practicing catch and release (outdoors) — funny — it seems easier than killing them
If you’re unfamiliar with my hand — scarification from when I was three years old and my # 1 anti-bully shield — it’s because I tend not to emphasize it — Someone I had an intimate relationship with did not notice for three months
I knew a Leo who for a year I assumed was slightly taller than me 6’1”? 6’2”? — One day when he had a poor reaction to DMT and we had brought him down — he walked past and I realized he was quite a bit shorter than I was — 5’5”
My younger brother by 7 years — another Leo — who starts his second half-century tomorrow — technically last year but just like the 80s didn’t really start until 81 - 82 — I find the uneven years the hardest — was in his late 30s before we stood back to back — so he could understand I was slightly shorter
Even here — before I shrunk — and he finished growing — it seemed obvious what would happen — I’ve always dismissed ‘Soul Retrieval’ as Faux Shamanic Hokum — recently I realized it’s not the splitting off — but the parts stuck in the future or past that need to be retrieved
If we don’t acknowledge the present without the crushing weight of an infinite future and past — we will be swept off our feet and drowned
YRMD especially if you regularly ving or wimm
Don’t be consumed by the shadow of the pensive past
So, there was this pesky fly last night in the bathroom. I certainly tried to end its short existence. I missed several times. Took it as a sign, went to bed having broken the wall fixture in my pursuit of the wee thing.
Mary said at 5:30 this morning,,, "the fly is still in there". I went in, watching it frantically trying to find a way out. Went and got a glass, and card then capturing it. I took it outside, setting her/him/it free just before sunrise.
I had forgotten myself the night before. Returned to how I usually try to deal with the little ones.
Humbled by the fly in the bathroom

This is fun but very philosophical. In my house, the cat gets the flies before I can catch and release.
