How quickly it changes

As far as I know — teeter-totters were banned over a decade ago — and yet this sign is relatively new

It takes years for a face to form in a tree — and only a moment to see it and then we’re never able to unsee it

The temperature crested 70 F today

Only a few hold outs drunk on old stories couldn’t embrace the new normal

On the edge of an abandoned parking lot designed to hold 500 + cars — I found snow lurking in an apparently new sinkhole

Rise up — rise up

Only to find a memorial — whose shadows have almost been forgotten

In a moment our shadows too move on and are gone
