When we first got back together officially 11 — I had a hard time telling people we had dated back in High School
The instant ‘aww’ — the story unfolding in other people’s heads was too simple — too much without depth — they (seemed to) miss the complexities I favored
After a bit — I realized — this was solely a ‘me’ problem
Why not let ‘others’ derive whatever myths of joy they could from these people —
who came from these people
They probably could fill in the blanks better than I could
