The Monks of Kcadnorinu get up early in the morning and say Good Morning and Shanti plus other things — I forgot the grace — thinking backward — If you know:
We went downtown to the locavore store — college kids prowling from place to place — engaged in the serious SantaCon holy-daze — Where do they go in their Santa duds? Partying like it was 2019 — “How odd — Would you have gone when you were their age? I don’t think I would have” — “That’s because you were a snob”— “Yes, yes, I was”
I still am
The way I remember it — during the annual Christmas party they would put the black and white TV in my Grandfather’s room along with the coats on his bed — And while the adults — adulted — I would watch whatever version of A Christmas Carol I could
I still love A Christmas Carol — In all its forms — After the feast in 2016 — we went downtown to visit our shop — soon to be DOC CONCRESCENCE LLC — and I took pictures of the Green Man outside our door
The Green Man — A Christmas Carol — produce a similar feeling — a nostalgia for a life I didn’t live — Anemoia
SF Santacon a blur of years ago: (1) belligerent santa pulling a soft reindeer sculpture on a leash through the streets (2) a weeping jesus walked amongst the drunken rubble (3) one of the rowdy ones stole a cop car and joyrode it around the city, then slid back into the anonymity of the santa slipstream. Con indeeed! Can't wait to see what you make of that space!!
